In Memory of Sam E E Antley
Sam Antley was an incredible man and a phenomenal musician. So many lives were impacted by his presence, mentorship and srtistic talent. Sam studied music in college and most recently served faithfully as the pianist at Grace Fellowship Church for 14 years. He also continued his own musical journey as an adult student at Blair Academy, studying voice with Mason Van Horn, Chris Plaas, and Ivy Blair. Sam performed in recitals, prepared for auditions, and brought joy, humor, and heart into every musical space he entered.
In Sam’s honor, Blair Academy also purchased the beautiful Yamaha C7 Grand Piano that Sam enjoyed for more than a decade. Inside the piano bench is a memorial to Sam, signed by his closest friends.
The goal of the fund is to raise $5,000 to help deserving students during temporary family hardship, including situations such as job loss, sickness, divorce, or other unexpected challenges.
100% of the funds will go directly toward practical needs that help students continue making music, such as sheet music, accompanists, piano tunings, instrument supplies, or strings.
$50 — Pay an accompanist for a recital
$100 — Purchase a set of violin strings
$175 — Provide a piano tuning
Any Amount — Support a student in need
Sam’s friends have designated Blair Academy for the Arts as the place where these funds will be used to help young musicians keep playing, learning, and growing.
Thank you for helping us honor Sam’s life, music, and legacy.
